Long Queues in Orlando Airport After Terminal Evacuated Due to Camera Battery Exploding

Travellers were evacuated from the main terminal building in Orlando International Airport on November 10 after a camera battery overheated and exploded inside a bag near a TSA checkpoint.

On Twitter, Orlando Police said the explosion caused a “loud sound that startled people” and confirmed no shots were fired inside the building.

Once readmitted to the terminal, travellers faced long queues to get through security, as this video shows. The uploader of this video said waiting times were almost two hours for some travellers. Credit: Instagram/Kidd_in_action via Storyful
