Pedestrian Goes Airborne After Colliding With Car in Melbourne's CBD

Dramatic dashcam vision captured the moment a pedestrian was struck by a car as he ran across a busy street in Melbourne’s central business district on Wednesday, May 23.

The man, garbed in high visibility clothing, ran full pelt in front of a car as it drove through an intersection moments after the traffic lights changed from green to amber. The force of the impact sends him flying back and he is seen lying on the ground as the driver and onlookers run to him.

Yahoo! reported paramedics took the man, aged in his 30s, to Alfred Hospital. A Victoria Ambulance spokesperson said the man was in a serious but stable condition, with injuries to his chest. Credit: Donna Galletta via Storyful
