Police Arrest 'Joker' in Toronto Restaurant Tip Jar Theft

Toronto police have arrested a man alleged to have stolen a tip jar from a city waffle restaurant while dressed as the Joker, a May 12 Toronto Star report said.

Security footage from Wafels & More, on Augusta Avenue, shows the suspect with a whitened face and green hair, in the manner of the Batman villain. He can be seen taking the restaurant’s tip jar.

The suspect was named as 29-year-old Timothy Lubin, who was charged with theft and was expected to appear in court on May 13, according to the Toronto Star. Credit: Wafels & More via Storyful
