Police in Melbourne, Australia, told reporters that there was no known terrorism connection with a November 9 incident that saw a vehicle burst into flames and a man attack people with a knife on Bourke Street.
The Victoria Police said that they responded to reports of the vehicle on fire at about 4.30 that afternoon, where they were confronted by a man wielding a knife and discovered that civilians had been stabbed.
The knife-wielding man was shot in the chest by police and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police said that three people had been stabbed and one of the victims was dead.
