A priest and Christian volunteers distributed food and water to Muslims breaking Ramadan fast in Jericho city, also known as Ariha, in the West Bank on May 20.
The annual initiative was launched by Jericho’s Good Shepherd Youth Cultural Center.
Father Mario Hachiti, along with volunteers, distributed water, dates and yogurt to people fasting Ramadan, the center said. In this video, the prayer calling on Muslims to break the fast can be heard emanating from a nearby mosque.
Father Mario was also filmed a week earlier distributing food and water in Jericho with other volunteers. In an interview, he said they were praying for Muslims fasting for Ramadan, and called for unity. Credit: Ariha via Storyful
