Shelling of the center of the Kurdish-majority city of Afrin, in northern Syria, on February 13 left at least one person dead. On the same day, the Kurdish Red Crescent in Afrin said two women were killed in the village of Hikja.

This footage was shared by a Kurdish outlet, ANHA. It shows the aftermath of shelling of a park in the center of Afrin.

The Red Crescent and local Kurdish reports blamed the shelling on Turkish forces, which began operations in the Afrin region in January, under the code name Operation Olive Branch. Credit: ANHA via Storyful
