Revelers Flee New York's Washington Square Park After Fireworks Mistaken for Gunshots

People were seen running out of New York’s Washington Square Park after fireworks were set off during Pride celebrations on Sunday evening, June 26.

Police determined no shots were fired and the noises that caused panic were from fireworks, NYPD Chief of Patrol Jeffrey Maddrey said.
