A moored sailboat didn’t survive the onslaught of Hurricane Sally on September 16, sinking into the churning water of a Pensacola lagoon after becoming damaged.
Local resident Jason Thompson told Storyful that the boat “slammed up against the pier” during the night, before he shot this video of the vessel sinking.
“Boats are anchored all over the lagoon,” Thompson wrote on Facebook. “This one just didn’t make it.”
