A group of stray cows were seen roaming fire-ravaged Cobargo on January 15 — more than two weeks after the historic New South Wales township was nearly razed by bushfires.
A fierce blaze swept through the town on New Year’s Eve 2019 as much of the state’s South Coast was threatened by firestorms. Two people were killed, while dozens of homes and businesses were also reported destroyed in the town.
Casey Zaw, who posted this video to Facebook, said cows had been coming to her mother’s backyard in the town since the fires. She said the animals looked hungry, later adding that people had since been seen rounding up the animals. Credit: Kathy Kroger via Storyful
