Timelapse video captured plumes of smoke rising from the Hog Fire in Lassen County, California, which has rapidly grown to 12,188 acres.
Local media reported that the fire was 0% contained and threatened 170 structures.
The National Weather Service issued a dense smoke advisory for Lassen and parts of Plumas and Sierra counties due to “visibility as low as a quarter-mile.”
