Waterbombing Helicopter Flies Through Bushfire Smoke Near Out-of-Control Blaze in Western Australia

An out-of-control bushfire threatened homes in communities north of Perth, Western Australia, on December 16.

An emergency warning was issued to residents in Woodridge, Two Rocks, City of Waneroo, and the Shire of Gingin who were told to evacuate. Meanwhile, those in the surrounding communities, including Yanchep, Gabbadah and Neergabby, were also told to leave.

“You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes,” an alert from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said.
