Australia's New South Wales logged its second-highest daily increase in locally acquired COVID-19 cases of the year on Sunday amid fears of a wave of new infections after thousands of people joined an anti-lockdown protest. There were 141 COVID-19 cases reported, down from 163 a day earlier. At least 38 of the new cases had spent time in the community while infectious, state health authorities said.

Heavy rainfall in the city of Dinant, Belgium, on July 24 caused severe flooding less than two weeks after storms left at least 36 dead in the country.Footage taken in Dinant, which is situated on the banks of the river Meuse, shows cars being carried down a street by rushing water, towards the center of the city.Belgium’s national crisis center said “about thirty cars were dragged along by the water and several streets were closed.” The center added that the city’s train station was impacted and local fire brigades were receiving many calls for assistance.
