PROMISING prospects Virgel Vitor and Regie Suganob co-headline in PMI Boxing’s biggest show this year, “Kumong Bolanon 7” on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, in Dimiao, Bohol.

Vitor, 25, is gunning for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental super featherweight belt against Thai up-and-comer Arnon Yupang.

Vitor hopes to break into the WBO super featherweight world rankings by beating Yupang and securing the regional strap.

Vitor is currently on a hot streak, winning his five straight fights. He won both of his bouts in 2022 with knockout wins over Jecker Buhawe and Ivor Lastrilla.

Yupang is as tough as it gets. He hasn’t been knocked out ever in his career, in which his two career losses are from close fights. He also owns a win over former world champion and Olympian Amnat Ruenroeng, who he outclassed by a lopsided unanimous decision last year.

Vitor is 18-2 with 11 knockouts, while Yupang is 9-2 with three knockouts.

Suganob, on the other hand, faces fellow unbeaten Andika D’Golden Boy in a 10-rounder.

Suganob, rated No. 6 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) light flyweight division, is coming off back-to-back wins this year. He beat Ricardo Sueno and Indonesian Asyer Aluman.

Andika’s last fight ended with a majority draw with Wandi Priman Hulu. He has wins over Pinoy boxers Richard Rosales and Romshane Sarguilla.

Suganob is 11-0 with four knockouts, while Andika is 19-0-1 with 10 knockouts.
