How to watch Disney's Black Widow: you'll be able to stream it online

A whopping 17 years after the first rumours of a Black Widow film, we finally have a release date for Disney's Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh. Yep, it's really happening. Here's how to watch Black Widow online if you don't fancy the cinema.

The long-awaited film focuses on Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a 'Black Widow,' an assassin and founding member of the Avengers. The official synopsis reads:

"Natasha Romonoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Romanoff must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger"

So, how can you watch Black Widow online when it’s released?

Black Widow is due to be released on Disney+ Premier Access in the UK on 9 July 2021. It's also released in cinemas on the same day but if you'd rather watch from the comfort of your own home, you can!


It costs £19.99 to purchase Premier Access to watch Black Widow on Disney+. You'll need an active Disney+ subscription.

A monthly subscription to Disney+ is £7.99, or you can save over 15% when you sign up to the annual subscription, which costs just £79.90 a year.

Subscribers can enjoy access to new movies like Black Widow as soon as they’re released, as well as over 500 films including Cruella, Frozen, Black Panther, and more. You can also catch up on all your favourite TV shows, like Desperate Housewives and New Girl.

As well as Scarlett Johansson in the lead role, you can also expect to see Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei/The Red Guardian and Rachel Weiss as Melina.

Black Widow is the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige.
