Based on a report released by Waterworks System Office, the water level at the dam in Barangay Baclayan has dropped to critical level due to high temperatures during the last summer season.

Baclayan and Dimayuga talagang wala na, bumaba na,” said Puerto Galera municipal engineer, Engr. Rod Manongsong.

The town of Puerta Galera require 10,000 cubic meters of water supply per day, however, only 4,100 cubic meters are currently being supplied.

This means, only 60 percent or equivalent to 22,000 residents are not receiving water supply.
