Waterfront Cebu rolls out Chinese New Year promos

OUT with the old and in with the new! To usher in the Year of the Metal Ox, the premier city hotel Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino has rolled out its exciting line-up of Chinese New Year promos.

The annual festival is observed depending on the lunar calendar and is one of the biggest celebrations in the world wherein traditions are practiced to usher in wealth, abundance and happiness for the coming year. In 2021, the special celebration falls on the 12th day of February.

Although the celebrations this year may not be as grand and festive as those in the past years in order to ensure everyone’s health and safety, the city hotel has never ceased to provide opportunities for its guests to celebrate the festival in the most intimate and special way.

  • Gong Xi Fa Cai: Chinese New Year Special

To welcome the new year not only in abundance and prosperity but also in comfort and relaxation, one can make his way to the premier city hotel and avail of its special “Gong Xi Fa Cai” room promo, which is available only for this auspicious celebration.

From Feb. 8 to 12, one can enjoy some quality time alone or with a loved one, and indulge in a relaxing overnight stay that is inclusive of an in-room breakfast, a 20 percent discount in all dining outlets and a complimentary use of the pool and gym. Room rates are at P2,600 per night for single occupancy and P2,800 per night for double occupancy.

  • Oh Lucky Day

Due to popular demand, the premier city hotel has extended its weekend-only room promo that guests can now avail of every Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the month.

For as low as P2,200 net per night, one can get to spend the weekend by the pool or relax in the comfort of his hotel room. Promo is also inclusive of a free upgrade to a higher room category, a P500 bet voucher at the casino and a complimentary use of the pool and gym.

  • Staycation Bonanza

Similar to the above-mentioned room promo, the Staycation Bonanza promo is also here to stay.

Valid for booking until Feb. 28, 2021, one now has more chances of treating his special someone to an accommodation that is inclusive of an overnight stay, a complimentary breakfast, complimentary use of the pool and gym and P1,000 worth of vouchers (P500 casino bet voucher plus P500 food and beverage voucher).

  • Happy Year of the Ox (Tin Gow)

The propitious celebration surely calls for a grand feast. This is why all roads lead to the best Chinese restaurant in town this February as Chinese master chef Low prepares a divine set menu that features his best-tasting Cantonese dishes.

Good for a minimum of five people, the sets include Tin Gow’s prawn salad, yee sang, Peking duck, stir-fry abalone with mushroom and Taiwan pechay and more for P1,800 net per person. The promo is available in set menus good for either five or 10 persons.

  • The Lucky Feast (UNO)

If one is in for a sumptuous all-you-can-eat dinner buffet of Cantonese and Szechuan dishes to start the new year on a high note, he can pay UNO a visit to feast on appetizing dishes such as roast duck, yee sang, steamed pomfret with ginger soy sauce and many more.

Hot pot dish, anyone? For the whole month of February, Tin Gow is offering its flavorsome poon choi, a Cantonese hot pot dish that is made with layers of seafood, meat and vegetables.

Good for sharing with up to five persons, the all-in-one dish is at P4,888 net and is available daily at the premier Chinese restaurant from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 10 p.m.

  • Tikoy and Yee Sang

If one is planning to celebrate the festivities somewhere else or just in the comforts of his own humble abode, he can visit the city hotel to take home some Chinese delicacies that he and his family can share.

One can satisfy his sweet tooth with the restaurant’s specially made “tikoy,” a popular Chinese dessert made out of steamed glutinous rice, that comes in four different flavors such as almond, brown sugar, pandan and ube. Price starts at P250 net each.

If one prefers a healthier selection, Tin Gow’s “yee sang,” a Cantonese-style raw fish salad that consists of strips of raw fish, shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, is the perfect dish for the occasion. One can get it for as low as P998 net and choose from two seafood flavors: prawn and tuna.
