CEBU, without question, is home to some of the most talented people. It’s only fitting to not only recognize but also celebrate gifted minds.
Showcasing local talent and craftsmanship is “Wear Cebu,” a retail campaign that started last January to gather works by the city’s artisans and designers. Participating brands are some of the city’s talented and innovative bunch: Dexter Alazas, Christine Virtucio, Hanz Coquilla, Omaque Designs, Astolia Designs, AMANO Craft Creations, BIA BAGS, Turtulele and ALIAZ One-Of-A-Kind. All of the items showcased are housed at the Artesano pop up store located on the first level of Robinsons Galleria Cebu.
The campaign is in partnership with Robinsons Galleria Cebu as part of its corporate social responsibility.
“This is a campaign for local artisans and designers to encourage new start ups, a platform for them to pitch a product they feel could make it at retail market,” said fashion designer Dexter Alazas who spearheaded the pop up. According to Alazas, this is part of his advocacy to promote what Cebu has to offer since his Hablon campaign.
From this, Alazas said there will be more in store.
“More plans are in the works now for reaching a wider market. We’re open to bringing Artesano to different avenues where we can promote ‘Wear Cebu.’”
“Wear Cebu” will run until Feb. 15.
