Weekend beauty highlights from New York Fashion Week
All eyes were on New York Fashion Week over the weekend, as the city's catwalks played host to some of the biggest Fall/Winter 2019 ready-to-wear shows in the industry. The designers didn't skimp when it came to hair and makeup, debuting a series of bold looks for the new season.
Textured updo hairstyles and razor-sharp eyeliner made for a sophisticated and seductive look at Prabal Gurung, with nude lipstick offering a nod to the 1990s.
Longchamp paid homage to its French heritage with a pared-down makeup look that focused on dewy skin, glossy hair and barely-there makeup. However, the brand made a statement when it came to the eyes, outlining them with kohl and accentuating them with long, spiky lashes that upped the drama factor.
Spiky lashes were also on the agenda at Brandon Maxwell's presentation, where the models teamed the dramatic look with bee-stung pink lips and hair that was pulled back into a tight center part.
Crystal freckles put a romantic and artistic spin on catwalk beauty at the Christian Siriano show, coupled with midnight blue eyeshadow, royal blue mascara and a bare lip.
Neon hues stole the show at Chromat, with the models rocking hot pink eyeshadow that was brushed out towards the temples for maximum visual impact.
