Wilson Tieng Celebrates A Milestone

Wilson Y. Tieng, business tycoon and showbiz stalwart, recently celebrated his 60th birth anniversary at the ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental Manila. In attendance were family and friends, business associates, members of the movie industry, and celebrities.

Tieng is the president of Solar Entertainment, Inc. and the chairman of RPN 9. He also used to be an active movie producer under the aegis of his family's Solar Films. For many years now, he has been an active member of the Executive Committee of the annual Metro Manila Film Festival.

Among those who came to greet him and wish him many more years to come were Senators Loren Legarda, Jinggoy Estrada, Manny Villar, Edgardo Angara, and Frank Drilon, and former Senators Nikki Coseteng and Dick Gordon; Reps. Irwin Tieng, Hermilando Mandanas, Risa Hontiveros-Baraquel, Miles Roces, and Sonny Angara; Gov. Chavit Singson, Mayor Alfredo Lim, former MMDA Chairman Bayani and Marides Fernando; MTRCB Chairman Grace Poe-Llamanzares, Kitchie Benedicto, Bro. Mike Velarde, German Moreno, Cesar Montano, Albert Martinez, Ramon and Frannie Jacinto, Mike Velasquez, Boots Anson-Roa, Cory Quirino, Dingdong Avanzado, Jessa Zaragoza, Jericho Rosales, Angeli Pangilinan, Charo Yu, Beth Tagle, Crispina and Nardz Belen, Emy Abuan, Dolly Anne Carvajal, and many more.

The performers included the Bernie Pasamba String Ensemble, Christian Bautista, John Lesaca, Tots Tolentino, Faith Cuneta, Claire dela Fuente, Jessa Zaragoza, Dingdong Avanzado, Nonoy Zuniga, Ramon Jacinto and his band, Christopher Yu, Arlan Cabrera, the Psychedelic Band, and Arthur Manuntag.
