Worawut whips Jomar down

JOURNEYMAN Jomar Saballo Fajardo suffered another loss in Thailand after getting knocked out in the second round by Chainoi Worawut last Aug. 1, 2020 at the Workpoint Studio in Bang Phun.

Fajardo was tentative in the opening round. He moved away from Worawut and rarely threw punches. He got staggered near the ropes with a right straight to the side of the head side by Worawut.

Worawut came out very aggressive in the second round and unleashed heavy blows. He dropped Fajardo with a left jab-right straight combination.

The 28-year-old Fajardo stood up and beat the count but he was still visibly wobbly. Fajardo’s corner to threw in the towel with 59 seconds second in for a second round technical knockout.

Fajardo, who’s based in Thailand, dropped to 17-17-2 with nine knockouts, while the 23-year-old Worawut remained unbeaten with 11-0-1 with 10 knockouts.

In the main event, two-time world champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (48-5-1, 41 KOs) defeated fellow Thai star Amnat Ruenroeng (20-4, 6 KOs) by unanimous decision.
