Worker dies after prime mover ran over him in Yishun
SINGAPORE — A 39-year-old worker died on Wednesday (27 April) after he was run over by a moving prime mover in Yishun, according to media reports.
The Indian national had parked his vehicle on a ramp along a driveway at a block near 15 Yishun Industrial St 1, according to a report by The Straits Times, citing a Ministry of Manpower spokesperson.
"A short while later, the prime mover started to roll forward and the worker ran towards the front of the vehicle. Unfortunately, he was run over by it," the spokesperson said.
The police, who were alerted to the accident at around 8am, said a worker was found motionless and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Investigations are ongoing.
