Xchange Forex-2000 moves to 6-0 after 68-point drubbing of Batch 2002 in SHAABAA

The Xchange Forex-2000 won their sixth game in a row with a merciless 118-50 rout of Gaisano Capital/San Remigio Beach Club/KJO Prints/Badbeat Sportswear-2002 in Division A of the 25th Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) basketball tournament on Sunday at the Magis Eagles Arena.

The win kept 2000 on top of their division at 6-0 while 2002 remains winless in five matches.

Batch 2000 did not take long to assert themselves in the match as they led by 14, 27-13, after the first and proceeded to thump their foes the rest of the way. Five different players scored in double-figures for 2000 led by Joevince Canizares’ double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds to go with five steals.

Man-mountain Joseph Lo also had a massive stat line of 20 points,18 boards, four assists and two steals.

In other Division A games, the Magis Medical Fund-1997 took down the AutoLAB-1999, 59-52. Roderick Mangubat was the man of the hour for 1997 as he had 22 points, seven steals, five boards and five assists to help his team tie 1999 in the standings at 3-2. Walter Ong added 16 while Chad Go produced 11 markers for 1997 as well.

The GEF Daikin-1998 beat the Speed Demon-1996, 62-58, as Michael Stephen Lim exploded for 31 points, eight boards and seven steals to push his team’s record to 2-3 and drop their victims to 2-2.

The Vivant Corenergy-1994 also nipped the Mandaue Eco Glass Inc.-1992, 73-70, to even their record up at 2-2. Former pro Joel Co had his way all game long as he finished with 24 points, 25 rebounds and six dimes.
