The NBA playoffs have started. Sixteen teams, 8 teams each from the Eastern and Western conferences, compete for the chance to lift the Larry O'Brien trophy but only one team will emerge champion.
The second seed Brooklyn Nets led by the fearsome trio of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving are the bookies favorites to go all the way. But this year could be the year the process is finally complete for the Philadelphia 76ers who are seeded first in the East. The team is led by the merry band of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are expected to give the top two seeds a run for their money. The New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards are all hoping to cause some upset.
The Utah Jazz, owner of the best record this season, will enjoy home-court advance throughout the playoffs but they are only tipped as joint fourth favorites to win the NBA Finals.
The defending champions Los Angeles Lakers powered by the pair of LeBron James and Anthony Davis had to play in the play-in to secure the seventh seed in the West. That doesn't stop the bookmakers to put them as the second favorites to bag the trophy.
Tipster put the the third seed Los Angeles Clippers as the third favorites for the championship. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George certainly hope the team doesn't implode this time.
