The House of Representatives approved on the third and final reading House Bill 8541 or the “Philippine Space Development Act.”
The bill seeks to create a national space agency and to provide for the development of the country’s space program.
The equivalent Senate version has reportedly passed the committee level.
The space program proposal still has some ways to go before it can be enacted into law. But the Lower House’s decision is one small step to reality.
Will the Philippines one day make that one giant leap toward the launch of a proudly Filipino space program? Have your say in our poll and leave a comment below.
