Yam Concepcion recently revealed that she has been engaged to her US-based long-time boyfriend Miguel Cuunjieng for more than two years now.

The 33-year-old actress on Wednesday (June 23) shared behind-the-scenes photos from their engagement, which happened on December 31, 2018 during a trip to Niseko, Japan.

“A thousand cranes YES, @mrcuu,” she wrote in the caption to her Instagram post. Yam also wrote “12.31.18 11:59pm,” seemingly hinting at the time of the proposal – exactly one minute before New Year’s.

Yam’s post was flooded with comments from her celebrity friends celebrating the couple’s milestone with them.

Fellow Kapamilya actor Joseph Marco commented, “Congrats Yam! Really happy for you!”

In anticipation of the upcoming wedding, news anchor Ces Drilon said, “best wishes!!!!!!”

In an interview last April for “I Feel U”, Yam told Toni Gonzaga that she will be staying in the United States for two to three months to spend time with her boyfriend.

She said the last time they were together was in December but it only lasted for two weeks.

Nasanay na rin kaming LDR (long distance relationship) so parang this is nothing new to us, magkalayo pa rin kami. Sobrang swerte lang kasi nakauwi siya dito nung end of December until January bago kami nag locked-in taping ulit. We had time together naman,” she said. (We’ve been used to LDR, so it’s like this is nothing new to us. It’s just incredibly lucky that he got to go home last December until July before our locked-in taping. We at least had time together.)

Currently, Yam is in New York with Miguel, taking a break from work. They have been together for six years. Yam said the secret to making their relationship work is trust alongside constant communication.
