The students are also required to bring their own alcohol and we are also observing social distancing. We also sanitize the gym after every session.”

Yaw-Yan Ardigma will limit the number of students to 10 each session to follow Covid-19 health protocols. The gym has four class sessions – 9 a.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The programs offered by Yaw-Yan Ardigma are arnis/eskrima, boxing fitness, mixed martial arts (MMA), Yaw-Yan Ardigma System, Yaw-Yan Combat (Self Defense) and Full-Contact System (Tactical Self Defense).

Caniga is one of the pioneers of MMA here in Cebu.

Some of the products of his gym are ONE Championship fighter Roel “Akiyama” Rosauro, Allan Albindo, URCC fighter Engie Piloto and Renan Noblefranca.

Yaw-Yan is a full contact martial arts that uses the body as a weapon. Students are trained in the different facets of the martial art like punching, kicking, the use of elbows and knees, and ground fighting.
