Parts of southern and central Arizona were left flooded on Sunday, July 25, after heavy monsoon rains fell in the state.The National Weather Service in Phoenix issued a flash flood warning for at least 14 cities in central Arizona, including Maricopa County, which encompasses Sun City.Peoria resident Ashley Walmsley was driving through floodwaters with her husband near West Union Hills Drive and 99th Avenue in Sun City when they saw a man drive a golf cart into the water and get stuck.Walmsley said she and her husband helped push the cart out of the flooded intersection.“The daughter of the guy in the golf cart found me on Facebook and thanked me for saving her dad,” Walmsley added.
