She is a wildly successful actress, singer and songwriter, and now Zendaya can add "fashion designer" to that impressive list.
The US star has been snapped up by the online British retailer Boohoo.com to collaborate on a capsule clothing edit set to be unveiled on March 21, WWD reports. The collection, dubbed the "Zendaya Edit," will reportedly consist of 50 pieces picked from the brand's Spring 2018 series by the fashion icon herself, spanning dresses, separates and athleisure pieces that ring in at Boohoo.com's typically affordable price points.
"I know my fans, and I know what's important to them," Zendaya told WWD. "They are chic, fashion-forward and love clothes, but like most people, wanna be able to ball on a budget. So I felt this was a perfect fit, to help them choose some easy pieces that aren't just ‘trendy' but also attainable."
Zendaya will also allegedly front the collection's campaign -- a job she is well versed in, having previously modelled for the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and CoverGirl. However, the collaboration confirms her status as a rising fashion heavyweight, and follows a year of killer red carpet dressing.
Since being founded in 2006, Boohoo.com has carved out a niche for itself as the ultimate fast-fashion fix at affordable price points, growing rapidly to cover menswear, womenswear and children's fashion and accessories. The brand also acquired LA label Nasty Girl in 2017.
